This garden is designed to be easy to look after yet beautiful and interesting to be in. Features such as the Cornish granite weather vane and the Ruby wedding anniversary bench were considerately placed in the layout to draw the eye to them. A circular raised pond adds dimension to the garden and allows for a place to perch and enjoy the water. Small trees have been planted to create shade in this sun-exposed space and provide birds and insects with food and habitat.
The plant colour palette is a scheme of purple-blues, whites, and buff yellows to soften the colour of the brick walls. The walls allow for vertically planted shrubs such as jasmine, espalier fruit trees, and climbing hydrangea.
