About Hannah Rickards
A Holistic Approach
Designs That Enhance Your Wellbeing
We take a holistic approach, considering the design details that shape your experience, from the scent of flowers and foliage to the sound of water and leaves, and the textures of plants and materials. Every element is carefully chosen to create a seamless flow that invites exploration and reflection. We believe that gardens should enrich your life as well as the nature in it. Whether you’re seeking peace, playfulness, or creativity, our designs promote wellbeing and a deeper connection to the natural world.

Collaborative Design
Your Garden, Your Vision
Our approach is all about working together to bring your vision to life, ensuring that your garden feels like a reflection of you and how you want to experience your outdoor space. We listen carefully to your needs, ideas, and lifestyle, making sure every element fits perfectly.
We also love working with other professionals, such as architects, builders, and landscape experts, to ensure that every part of your garden connects harmoniously with the surrounding architecture and landscape. The goal is to create a space that feels like it belongs, while giving nature space to thrive and evolve.

Context Matters
Designing for Place and Purpose
The best gardens are those that feel deeply connected to their surroundings. We consider the bigger picture—how your garden interacts with the local environment, the architecture, and the overall feel of the space.
Every garden we design is unique, shaped by its context and the specific needs of the people who will use it. Consideration is taken to how the garden will evolve over time.
The plants we select, the layout, and the materials all contribute to a garden that will mature beautifully, offering new experiences with each passing season.
Sustainability and Resilience
Gardens That Thrive, Whatever the Weather
We believe in designing gardens that are not only beautiful but sustainable. The world is changing, and we want our designs to be part of the solution. That’s why we carefully choose plants and materials that are resilient, low-maintenance, and well-suited to the local climate.
We aim to create gardens that support biodiversity, conserve water, and encourage wildlife. From planting drought-tolerant species to reusing materials wherever possible, sustainability is important to us.
We’re proud to work with forward-thinking suppliers who share our aim to ensure we are doing our part to protect the planet.

Designing for the Future
Timeless Gardens That Grow with You
Every project that we create is with the belief that a garden should last, evolve, and grow with you. Your garden should reflect your style, enhance your lifestyle, and bring you closer to nature.
It should stand the test of time, maturing beautifully over the years and continuing to bring you joy, year after year and for generations to come.
