THE BENEFITS OF GOOD GARDEN DESIGN
A beautiful and functional garden brings with it a better quality of life, providing a space to lift the spirits, enjoy nature and the changing seasons. When planned well it will provide you with an outside space that suits your needs and lifestyle. Just as with your home, construction in the garden is an investment, so it is worth spending the time to develop the right design. The balance between practicality and aesthetics are essential elements behind a successful garden design. Terraces, seating, water features, sight-lines, structures and planting areas should be positioned with consideration to the spatial layout. A well-designed garden will look good and function well now and in the future.

HANNAH RICKARDS

Most of my work is in the South West covering Bristol, Bath and South Wales. I love working with my clients to achieve the garden they aspire to. It is exciting as the build comes together and the design begins to take shape. The planting brings a real sense of joy as it provides living structure and as new wildlife inevitably arrives the garden becomes animated with life which is fantastic to see!
PROJECTS
ARTISTIC BRISTOL GARDEN

This city courtyard garden in Montpelier was designed for a fun, sociable family who had big ideas for a small garden.
A bike store, pergola providing play for the kids and space for a chair swing.
There are outdoor cooking facilities - a Green Egg and a pizza oven which is also a burner. The pergola holds and frames a door painted by the Bristol artist Alex Lucas of Lucas Antics.
